Hi everyone! I've taken the plunge and closed on my first investment property!! Now that we are past closing, I am unsure of what the next steps are in terms of what I need to do legally when inheriting tenants...I was hoping that a member of this amazing Bigger Pockets community would be able to help with some recommendations for investor friendly attorneys within the New Orleans area that would be able to answer questions related to landlord-tenant policies/regulations/laws. Any input is so greatly appreciated!

Hi @Braden Smith and @Daniel Purcell! Is there any possible way you guys could shoot me information regarding your recommendations for contractors in the New Orleans area? I am working my way through my first purchase of a rental property, and I would love to be able to start networking with some professional, reliable contractors in the area. Thanks so much in advance!!

Thank you for your input!!

@Daniel Purcell

Thanks so much for the info, @Bobby Shell

Wow thanks for that extensive, informational response, @Braden Smith! I really appreciate the time you took to type all that out. I didn't realize that the New Orleans market is so completely saturated...I'll have to try to broaden my search in location while looking for potential properties. Thanks again, for all the sound advice!

Essentially, I am trying to figure out whether or not right now would be a good time to start my new endeavor as a rental property investor. I am ready commitment wise, but just want to get some feedback on whether or not the market is in a good place for investors right now.

Hi, I am just starting out as a very much so newbie rental property investor! Would anyone here be able to guide me in terms of figuring out whether or not the housing market in New Orleans/Metairie, LA is at its peak right now? I understand you gain the most in profit when you purchase a housing property when the housing market takes a little fumble, but I have no idea how to figure out whether or not this is the case right now in that particular area. Also, for those of you kind enough to be able to answer this for me, how did you go about gathering the info necessary for your response? I would love to be able to do the research on my own but just don't know where to start exactly.
