Congrats @Jocelyne Sema! I can feel your excitement! I would say you should be able to manage a triplex without software. I always introduce myself to new tenants. It's nice to make the 1st move. They will know that the building is being sold and may be nervous and wondering what is going to change. It's nice if you can introduce yourself, let them know what you are doing or changing and give them new payment info. I also just bought a triplex and I will be having all of my tenants sign a month to month lease (i'm raising the rent) and will let them know what I will be providing (snow removal and lawn care) as well as asking them what work needs to be done in each unit. It's always a learning process so don't stress about the small stuff!

Hello Everyone!

I am a new member and wanted to jump in and introduce myself!

I relocated from Ontario to Gander, Newfoundland in 2020. I am an experienced property manager. Since moving here my husband and I have purchased a duplex and are closing on a triplex in June. The triplex will be a brrrr and I am so excited about it!

It is such a unique market here (think Ontario circa 2015) and there are a ton of affordable, cashflowing rental properties on the market.

I'm looking forward to jumping on the forums, learning from the pros and meeting some other Canadian investors!

Thank you for the amazing resource.

@Rhyse Jubenville I am in Newfoundland and you can easily find a cashflowing property for under $350.

If you are in a higher priced area I would look outside of your current area. Maybe there is another area you are familiar with that offers more rental opportunities in your price range 🤗

Has a NL meet-up been arranged? I would love to join, even virtually if needed.

Hi Kyle, I see this post is a year old but I just found BP! I am also an investor in NL. I currently own 2 properties (5 doors) in Gander and I would love to connect with some other local investors.
