Greg Scott, thank you. Any advice is appreciated. My thoughts were to build a terrace on top of the 2-story building for views of the surrounding mountains. Very tiny kitchenettes. Offer free breakfast at my friend’s restaurant next door before the guests begin the downtown walking/shopping. It’s an older motel, so other hotels are getting more guests. It needs to be spruced up; great location downtown though. Create self check-in.

I asked the owner of an off-market motel if he was thinking about selling. He said yes. I’m in the Big Bend National Park area.

We switched numbers, and are meeting in 5 days. Now what? Learning as I go…

I suppose I need a calculator for 35-units to be turned into 35 airbnbs. It may need a full rehab. Which contract do I use? 

I have a lot to figure out. Are there any REI's here with turning a motel into an Airbnb.
