So I decided to go with Heart and Home. I had a few conversations with Cheryl as well as a couple references that she sent me as well as a few that I found on my own. She had good answers to all my questions (and there were a LOT of them) and made me confident that I am making the right choice. I am closing on my Duplex on Monday and will meet her face to face at the property on Tuesday.

 Hi @Ken Livingston, I was wondering how your experience has been with Heart and Home? I am wanting to switch away from my current PM as they are subpar and was thinking of switching over to them.

 Hello Alvin. H&H have been OK. I had to switch managers within the company as my first was not very responsive at all. I’m all about do what you say and say what you mean. He wasn’t good at that. The second is better. Not great but better. I still have one of my two apartment vacant but the neighborhood that I am in probably has more to do with that than the Pm company.

 Thanks for the feedback @Ken Livingston! I am also in a rougher part of town and my unit has been vacant going on 2 months now! Does not look like it’ll get rented anytime soon despite being the lowest priced comp around there. I have been considering switching (currently using ERA) and not really a fan of their property management style. Was considering RL property management, but man they are expensive lol.

RL property management does not manage in C neighborhoods. Only B/B+ or A
I last spoke to them about a month - a month and a half ago and they said they did service my area.

Hello everyone, I am in the process of interviewing Property Managers in the Columbus Ohio area and had the pleasure  of speaking with Cheryl Morgan from  Heart & Home Property Management and I was looking for anyone that is or has used them and their experience with them.

 Hi just checking to see if you ended up using Heart and Home? If so, was wondering how your experience has been. My current PM has bee quite subpar

@Ron Sidwell Hey Ron, we currently have a property management company that is not a good fit for us. Did you end up going with Heart and Home or did ya go with someone else? Its been a challenge to find any good property management companies out that way.

Hi Mark, could you also send me your Property manager referrals as well. I am looking for a good ethical company/manager to work with in Columbus OH. Thanks!

 Hi Tony,

did you end up finding a good property management company to go with? It has been a challenge for me. It seems i have inherited some problematic tenants and the property management company I initially wanted to go with backed out of working with me.

Hi,

Did you end up using them? I am under contract for a property out in Columbus and they are one of the few property management companies I am considering going with!

@Brad Sand

Do you know how much more it would cost to build over an existing two car garage? That’s something that crosses our mind frequently. Was always curious but never took steps to find out the price yet ahaha

@Guy Yarkoni hello, did you ever find a good out of area real estate agent? Has your journey in NC been fruitful?
