@Charlie MacPherson Thank you. I will definitely be hotting up the open houses. I appreciate the feedback!

@Patrick Wheeler Yeah that's an awesome idea. I've actually already started to do that. Thank you!

@Nick Foundas Thank you for the advice. I will do that.

@Chris Anderson Thank you, I will let you know if any questions come up. Im getting an idea of the neighborhoods. I live in Bear Hill so I know Weston is a higher priced area. I also work as a bartender on Moody St. and I have been trying to gage the area by talking with locals. I know Moody St. is more South Waltham with denser neighborhoods and older multi homes.

I work for Z.R. Rourke Real Estate out of Lowell. I work with a group of investors in a small brokerage. I figured I would try to get myself into this market though because property valuation is much higher and investment properties are probably a good idea around here with all the schools so close by.

As a realtor and investor, I think being or having an agent is the best way to go. I'm in MA so things are a little different here but I do think that real estate is pretty similar nation wide. As both and agent and investor, it is a lot of work. If you have the extra cash to spare when selling a flip - hire an agent that specifies in selling the type of house your trying to sell. Agents usually find a niche, therefore there are tons of different agents out there. You can try and do everything yourself but at the end of the day it may be worth more for you to pay someone who knows exactly what they are doing.

The best thing to know, is what you don't know. Once you know what you don't know, hire someone who knows what you don't know. That is how you are successful - in my opinion.

Hello All,

I am a realtor in Lowell, MA currently working with investors and sellers with properties that are difficult to sell.

I recently have moved to Waltham. Although I will still be working out of my office in Lowell, I am interested in starting to get involved in the Waltham market.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get myself involved/ how to learn the market? Thank you.

Hey Justin,

I'm a real estate agent / investor in Lowell, MA. I work at Z.R. Rourke Real Estate as a realtor. My team buys and holds and flips properties in Lowell all the time. My partner and I specialize in finding good deals to buy and marketing to sell. I'd love to connect and help you find an investment property.
