@Andrew Hogan hey!
I ended up buying a duplex :) I absolutely love it. I’m in the process of redoing the flooring and the bathroom! My tenants have been amazing! Everything seems to be going well as of now. I think this coming year I am going to try to buy a single family property. I’m still on the fence as to buy another duplex or not… leaning more towards single family !! :)

Hey!

I’m 22 years old and I’ve been going to see duplex homes for quite some time now. In my area you can get a good duplex home for 200-230k. I have 26k saved up so I would need to put 3.5% down. With the 3.5% down my mortgage would be 1200-1400- month and I would have to pay some of the mortgage. Does it make sense for me to buy an 80k home and put a full 20% down and rent it out right away instead then save up for another 80k property? That way my monthly i payment will be lower.
