Post: Brokerages for Part Time / Investor Agents

Does anyone have any recommendations for brokerages in the Austin area that welcome part-time agents?

I'm in the process of acquiring my real estate license and am looking for a sponsoring broker. I already have a full time job working at a small real estate investment company so could only be able to work part time as an agent.

I know bigger brokerages have a lot of resources/programs for new agents but feel like they'd rather take on someone with more time/commitment to bring in a higher volume of sales. I'd mostly be bringing in sales from random work related referrals and working with friends/family.

-Replacement cost is $120k.

-Liability: $1,000,000 per occurance.

-Damage to rented premises: $50k per occurrence.

-General aggregate: $2,000,000

-Personal & Adv Injury: excluded

-Does not include water/sewer backup.

Can add additional "Investor Protection" which would include sewer/drain back up for an extra $3 (which I plan on doing) and a few other things, but just wanted to see if it was worth exploring finding a lower rate.

Looking for a new landlord insurance provider. I currently have policies with NREIG paying around $57 a month for $120k in property coverage per side of a duplex in north Austin.

Although the amount may seem minimal in the grand scheme of things, wondering if anyone has any recommendations/agents that may have better rates. Or is this about the lowest a premium might be for these properties?

Thanks

Sorry-should specify that I would be looking for comps within a given geographic area instead of a comprehensive report provided by a service.

Looking for recommendations on websites/services for calculating market rent in a given area. I have used sites like zillow, realtor.com, and craigslist as a reference but prefer something that lists past rental listings as well.

I've considered rentometer but know its based on average/median rents so a lot of apartment complexes are included when I am more interested in SF homes and duplex rental rates.

Thanks!

Howdy all,

Any recommendations on where to buy windows and doors at whole sale / discount prices? Same for general building material (e.g. lumber, drywall, etc.). Looking into pro desk at home depot but wondering if there are any locally owned places I should look into.

Thanks!
