I am currently living in CA, invested in a townhouse with my wife in 2017 in the Seattle downtown area, currently occupied by renters.   We are currently in the process of looking into refinancing for this property when we found out that our mortgage escrow company has been mistakenly making tax payments from our mortgage escrow to a wrong tax account for 2 years, and it seems like the wrong tax account owner got refunds from the county already. We are working to correct the error with the escrow company ASAP. It will be very helpful if someone can provide us some guidance about how to correct this kind of mistake. I never faced this kind of problem in my life, this is a very stressful situation, hope you can give me some information and help. Do I need to talk to a real estate lawyer? Thanks ahead.

@Frank Chin,@Cynthia Brooks, @Rick S.:  Thank you all so much for the input!!

Hi folks,

I'm managing my investment property myself. Now I need to have a lease and other applicable documents ready for future tenants. Is ezlandlordforms.com a reliable site? If not, are there other websites that provide reliable resources in this regard?

Many thanks!

@Jared Bouzek, @Terry Lao, @Chris Mason, @Brent Langlois, @Jay Jasunas, @Jeff B. - Thank you very much! I think I got my answer.  Much appreciated!

hi folks,

I'm looking to purchase an investment property. When applying for the loan, does the debt-to-income ratio include the potential rental income on the property I'm trying to buy (that property is currently not rented out). This would make a big difference on my DTI. Thanks in advance!!
