Dawn Brenengen Thanks for the welcome. Some of the reasons we like the Triangle are relative performance through the recession, general economic position and long term growth prospects. It is much more of a long-term view than most might take. Investment is simply facilitated by the fact that I personally have a connection to the area through one of the other businesses I am involved with, which is active in the Triangle area. For us, long-term investment rationale + physical presence = simplicity, which is always good. I would be happy to have a chat with you to hear your ideas about the various sub-markets and pockets of growth.

@Chris Masons Thank you for your welcome.

I see you're based out of Union, I actually lived the first few years of my life in Union.

Sounds like you've seen and done a lot in the multifamily space. I'd be happy to connect and chat about your experiences, as part of our strategy is to "start small, prove the model then take the natural next step" into Multifamily and Apartment with potential for opportunistic RE Development along the way.

Looking forward to hearing more from you, happy holidays!

@Bill Gulley Thank you for the warm welcome.

I will certainly follow your advice, and have been using the keyword alert feature and forum search to meet those like-minded industry partners.

With respect to experience, in addition to my business/finance background we have team members with experience in Development and rehab, both on major commercial developments in key markets as well as retail and industrial in several markets along the Eastern seaboard (e.g. NYC, NJ, FL). We prefer a "mid-sourced" model, bringing in local expertise where experienced local knowledge is key: for example Property Management, Contractors, Real Estate Agents, etc. For deal flow, we operate on both internal deal-flow with support from talented external Transaction Sourcing Specialists.

In terms of partnership on transactions, we are flexible on transaction style with some core criteria which include pristine reputation & integrity, credibility in terms of track record, and strategic "value-added" characteristics.

Happy holidays to you as well!

Hello to everyone on BiggerPockets!

My name is Evan Fisher, and I'm a real estate investment principal. A bit about me:

I grew up in New Jersey, went to college at Villanova University near Philadelphia, then studied a bit outside of the US in Italy, Shanghai and Switzerland, ultimately ending up in Geneva, Switzerland. My professional background has been in retail banking with TD Bank, commercial real estate with Cushman & Wakefield, and investment banking with a boutique investment bank specialized in Airlines, Aviation Services, Aerospace & Industrials. In my career so far, I've bought and sold several businesses, and raised circa $80 million for both privately-owned and publicly-listed companies.

For years I've been passively involved in Real Estate, renting out a property for decent cash flow, and continuing to educate myself for the "big push" into REI. After several years working internationally, I am now planning for the move back to the US. Together with a number of partners, including a Project Manager of a well-known national RE Developer, we have formed GreenSpire Properties, which will kick off our RE investment business. Right now we are focused on getting our Real Estate investment systems running like clockwork.

Markets: Our primary market of interest is the Triangle Area - Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I have a couple of specific areas of interest, feel free to reach out to discuss more.

Strategy: We're most interested in Buy-and-Hold investing in a few SFH to start. Can do a number of structures but ideally either seller-financed or all-cash buys, with or without partners.

Looking For: Partners & support network contacts! From Real Estate Agents to Wholesalers, an exceptional Accountant to other Investors - I am interested in linking up to see how we can work together!

What I Bring: Finance & business experience, passion for real estate, and most important, common sense. I'm looking forward to contributing my knowledge and skills to help better the BiggerPockets community, provide my perspective and form constructive dialogue on important issues facing our industry today. And through GreenSpire, I'm looking forward to bringing financing for our partners' projects through our network of investors, and making investments as a principal buyer.

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes to all BiggerPockets Members!
