Hi BP Community,

I'm a newbie located currently in Southern California, looking to start my first mailing campaign in the Metro Detroit area (Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, and Washtenaw Counties). I'm looking for any advice/recommendations for finding a "boots on the ground" wholesaler working in those areas to work with in splitting and closing deals, as I start out.  If you are or know of someone who is interested in this opportunity, let me know!

Thanks!

@Casey Murray I will message my questions to you! Thank You!

@Basit Siddiqi Thank you for the advice!

@Lee Ripma  Thank you so much for your input.  Definitely helpful.

@Jo-Ann Lapin Thank you. I will message you to better understand your post.

@Katie L. Thank you.  I will PM you.

Hi BP community! I'm a newbie in San Diego, just starting out on my REI journey. Although 1st property has not been acquired yet, I have been busy in the month of December with setting up the business, with setup expenses in Education and LLC formation, etc. I am looking for recommendations for a CPA, who knows California tax law, to discuss implications for my 2017 tax return.

The topics of my questions include: (a) Out of State LLC Formation, and when is business technically done in California; and (b) Setup Expenses that can be deducted, how and when.

Any advice or recommendations of a California CPA would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

@John Warren @Brian Robbins Thank you both for the kind welcome and thank you for offering some "food for thought".  Definitely will be considering some of your suggestions.

Hi BP Community! I’m Alison and I’m super excited to have found the BP community. I’ve been listening in to podcasts and webinars since the end of November. I am an educator and am looking to utilize real estate to attain financial freedom and grow my retirement fund (hopefully within the next 5 years). As I live in a pretty pricey market, I am trying to figure out the best strategy to use. I am also considering investing long distance (in the Metro Detroit area, because I have family there) and wondering what the best strategy to use might in that market. Any suggestions for a newbie would be wonderful!
