@Chris MasonHi Chris! Thanks for the response! Well, for this rental property, we actually did purchase it with cash? There is no mortgage on this property. But no we have not had it for 6 months....maybe that's the issue?

@Stacey PaulinThat may be an issue! We have only had it maybe a month or so....so definitely not near the 6 month period. We will definitely keep calling around, but it may be just that...maybe we just have to hang tight for a few more months. Thanks so much for the info, Stacey!

Hi there everyone!! We just bought our first rental and are trying to buy another. I thought I knew how the BRRR method would go, but apparently not. Haha. So we bought and now want to refi (in some fashion) and get the equity out of this house to invest in the other rental but every bank we go to says that it's not possible. Am I doing or thinking incorrectly in regards to this method? Can anyone that has succeeded with the BRRR method give me any advice? Thanks so much for any help!

@Ron Dayley Hi Ron! That's awesome! I ice to meet you. What do you do here in Clarksville as far as investing? Single family/multifamily? Flips, rentals, wholesales, etc?

@Andrew Fredrickson Thanks Andrew!! I have a checklist to get me started now. I have been listening to as many BP podcasts as I can pretty much daily! It is some great stuff and I really appreciate BP for putting out some great info. I am currently about half way through Cashflow Quadrant but I will definitely pick up his book next. Thanks for the awesome tips! I'll get a profile pic up soon! Haha.

@Sarah Ellis for sure!!! Clarksville is growing so much here lately! I am a real estate agent as well. My broker is up on Cheatham County though. 😊

Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a new member here. Right now we are looking to buy fix n flips and buy and holds. We are active in several TN markets including Montgomery, Robertson, Davidson, Cheatham, and Dickson counties. We eventually want to move into wholesaling, but I need a bit more knowledge before I would feel comfortable. If anyone wants to chat or knows of any meetups with local investors, please feel free to reach out to me! I'd love to gain any knowledge and guidance along the way! Thanks for everything!!

Post: Newbie Needs Help with Pulling Equity Out of Home...

Hi everyone! Newbie here! We recently purchased a house for $20k, with an ARV of approximately $70k. Initially, we wanted to keep as a rental, but we may choose to flip if we get the right price. But we are stuck. Like I said, initially, we were going to BRRR the property. We are trying to pull the equity out of the property to help with rehab costs on that specific property and put the remaining into a new investment property. For some reason the bank will not give us the money for the equity that's in the house. They are saying that it is because the house is a rental. Are we doing something wrong? Has anyone else had this happen to them? We tried to do a refi with US Bank. Should we be going a different route or saying something different so that the bank will process our request? Thanks so much for reading this and any guidance you can share!!!
