I am actually reading the book on for getting started in this website now!

@Karen Margrave thank you for your input!
I am just starting to make moves in this new venture in my life, ultimately I want to invest in properties but I would like to know the ins and outs and the way real estate works so I make the right decisions because I don't want to use real estate agents to do the selling for me. I just wasn't sure if investing in the courses would be an asset for me at this point.

Another question being; would it possibly be more worth my while to talk to my bank about buying my first starter home before jumping into courses?

I am from Alberta, Canada and there we have a real estate training institution. Classes are affordable and I have the pre-requisites for the programs offered. Although I would need to choose if I want to take the residential or commercial course. Has anyone from Alberta taken courses at this institution that has any insight? And does anyone have any suggestions to resources I can exhaust to decide which type I should tackle first? Also, is this course worth taking if I have absolutely no knowledge of real estate yet?
