Hello all, its time for the next step on the home repairs. I'm looking to replace all the windows in current home and need recommendations on contractors. Total of 11 single pane windows and wanting to get energy efficient replacements . Thanks in advance for the help.

@Brian Nel, Thanks for all the additional information. Gave me more information to consider in that area. You've made it a bit harder to convince the wife, but i'm up for the challenge.

hello and welcome to Bigger Pockets. Sounds like you're off to a good start; setting a timed goal is key. Best of luck on finding that deal. If you have time, attend a few of the BP meetups, there are alot of investors with experience and business cards that show up.

I must say; Kingwood to La Porte.... that is a LONG daily commute.

Hello Everyone, Alfredo D here from Houston, Texas. As of right now, I'm interested in buy and hold rental properties (single family & multi)in Houston and surrounding areas, eventually plan to branch out. At the moment, I'm in the process of writing out a business plan for myself and soon to be wife. After a few months of discussing, I managed to get her support in my plans for real estate investing. If all goes as planned I hope to begin investing in February (after the wedding); until then I'll be building contacts, browsing the MLS, and doing calculations on properties i find.

A bit about myself; my father raised me to be independent and do manual labor myself and now because of him, I do many of the home repairs myself and like to believe I'm fully capable of being my own property manager (currently own a home i purchased thinking i could grow into). After graduating from ITT Tech i began working for a company installing home security and structured wiring in homes; that's where i was introduced and found a fascination for Real Estate and began watching HGTV. A few years after purchasing my home i found myself in financial problems and thanks for Dave Ramsey, i managed to pull myself out of debt without selling my home (thank you roommates). Soon later, I found myself listening to podcasts such as Masters of Money, Stacking Benjamin's, Afford Anything, and now Bigger Pockets.

I'm looking forward to learning more about real estate and making new contacts.
