No I haven't read that book but I will look into it. I hope to make it to the Chattanooga meet up as well.

Thanks @Miguel Dormany. I look forward to getting involved more with BP and other investors. This is really something I know I want to do and I can't wait to learn more and more.
I look forward to meeting you too soon @Jeffrey Holst.

Hello everyone. I'd like to introduce myself and use this as an opportunity to reach out to other local and non local investors. My name is Alex Walker and I live the Chattanooga area. I am 19 years old and currently have only one semester remaining at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga where I'm studying Construction Management. I am also currently employed as an intern with a local electrical contractor. This internship has really helped me understand if my degree is something I want to do with my life or not. I think it certainly could be, but even at the age of 19 I am seeking out ways for potential financial freedom. I was always raised with the mindset to plan for the future and that is why real estate investing has become a great interest of mine. I have started reading books on real estate and doing as much research as I can to gain the knowledge I need to find and complete that first deal. I know I'm young but I am very motivated and haven't been this intrigued by something in a long time. I am looking for any advice that the BP community can give me on getting started as well as opportunities for local networking. I guess to give more clarification, I will say that I am mostly interested in leasing and "buy and sell' type of real estate. Not really looking to become a landlord but wouldn't be opposed to doing some small flips. Thanks for taking the time to read and I look forward to reading your replies.
Thanks,
Alex Walker
