They pitched themselves as a bitcoin hypergrowth investment platform, which anything promising 20%+ returns should be approached with intense speculation but we got caught up by testimonies of personal friends and coworkers who made huge gains on the platform, which swayed us into getting into it. When we tried to pull Bitcoin out of their on platform wallet, of course this feature was disabled until they could "vet us", making us go through a month long waiting period. Eventually they completely blocked everyone from pulling out of the wallet, then one day took the site completely offline and disappeared with millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin. Unfortunately due to what people mentioned above with regulation, it's easy to fall victim to crypto scams with very little in the way of recouping your losses or attempting to get the perpetrators to pay for their misdeeds.
