I've come across several properties that are short sale on the MLS. Could anyone provide me with their own insight or knowledge of these in terms of pros and cons or the general process? Thanks in advance!

What are your thoughts on purchasing a HUD home? I have read about the FHA $100 Down mortgage program, which allows for a down payment of $100 on a HUD home. Any recommendations on this or general thoughts?

Much appreciated!

Post: Borrowing money from your 403(b)

My tax preparer recently mentioned the possibility of taking out a loan from my 403(b). He mentioned that a good thing about this is that I would pay back the money to myself, with interest, as opposed to the government keeping a percentage once I take out the funds from my 403(b).

Could someone elaborate on this for me? Or provide some further clarification?

Much appreciated!

Thank you, Steven! Would you happen to know of an experienced CPA that could work with me? I am in the Long Beach/Lakewood area in California.

Thanks in advance!
