@Alfredo O., I apologize for the long delay in responding, Sir. I had to take a hiatus from real estate for a military deployment. One of our members had close ties to an attorney who walked us through the steps to set up the LLC. My best advice (if you haven't figured this out already) would be to find an attorney who specializes in real estate in your area. A lot of the documents are in the public domain online and can be tweaked to fit your team(s)' needs.

@Jeremiah Phillips, that would be great! I'm certainly interested in meeting others like-minded professionals in the area. I wish I were more local, but I'd still be interested in hearing about upcoming meetings. Do you have any resources you would recommend for "out-of-towners"?

That's great @Brad Gibson! Congratulation sir! We had a few things to fix up to make the property insurable, but am hopeful we'll be able to find a renter soon. Are you working with a property management company?

Good morning,

My name is Alex Sleeth and I am from Carrollton, TX (DFW). I just began my adventure in real estate investing with two partners by purchasing a single-family 2/3 bedroom and 1 bath home in Lubbock, TX. This is the area we plan to stay in as two of us are Texas Tech alumni, we know the area pretty well, and we feel that Lubbock is a prime opportunity given the low price of housing relative to Texas, the population growth expected to occur, and the volume of students looking to rent. Our plan initially is strictly buy and hold, but we could be interested in flipping in the future should the opportunity be there. We do not yet have a tenant for the first property and are in the process of seeking out a property management company (several great possibilities already) as well as completing a few small task to make the property more appealing. I'm interested in networking with other investors and learning everything I can, especially as it relates to our current situation of buying and holding properties from a distance. Please feel free to share anything you think might be of assistance! Thank you and I'm looking forward to your responses!
