I use apartments.com for rent payments and maintenance requests. Tenants find it very easy and they can set up automatic payments. There is no fee associated with what I use it for and have had no issues. 

I list my units on zillow and use their application process.

I self manage 2 single family homes for reference. Good luck!

Congrats! I am also from GR and hopefully close on my first rental property in Kalamazoo in a week. 

Any good contacts for handy man you have used? I plan on self managing but would be great to have some contacts when I am in a bind and can't make it there quickly.
