@Brian Pulaski, how do you segregate the costs of each rehab item? If I find a house that is identical to mine, except for flooring and countertops, then I want to update the countertops, how would I know how much of the price differential comes from countertops versus flooring?

I am primarily looking for smaller firms in the greater DFW area. I graduate from my master's soon and I'm interested in breaking into the industry. I was mainly hoping for a comprehensive list of all the firms I should be applying to.

@Andrew Postell, thank you, I'll definitely check out those groups to see if there are any local meetups coming up. And @Bill Hampton, I would be open to it. I'll look through the site and see if there are any that seem like a good fit. Thanks for the tips!

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone knew any contacts in the DFW area that they've had a good experience with. I'm specifically referring to accountants, contractors, lenders, or realtors. I currently have a CPA that I work with that does my taxes, but he doesn't have much experience with real estate. I am relatively happy with my realtor, but we haven't worked together very long, so I'd like to talk to some others to compare. I've spoken to a few lenders, but I haven't found one I like yet. And as for contractors, I've got nothing. I don't have any contacts for reliable contractors, so I would really appreciate if anyone had any names for people they've liked.

Thanks!

Post: New Investor in DFW, Looking to Connect

Hello,

I'm a new member living in the DFW area. I currently working in finance/fintech, but I'm hoping to break into the real estate investing space. Currently, I'm in the early stages of searching for my first property, which will likely be a single-family rental. I'm interested primarily in residential right now, but once I gain some experience and capital, I'll likely turn to commercial properties.

I didn't see any meetups for investors in the area, but I'd be interested if there's anyone in the area looking to connect!

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Austin,

I'm in the same boat. I'm also a new investor in the DFW area. The only meetups I saw posted on here didn't seem to match what I was looking for. If you find a good meetup, let me know, and I'll do the same!

Thanks,

Alex
