@Jake Thomas, Hastings is a great place! I'm glad to see others showing interest in the small city! I think it's one of the best small cities in Michigan and possibly the USA. With that being said and growing up in the town, there are great investment deals that come about every week but you have to act fast. There are many investors in close proximity to the town that watch the market like hawks, so it is no surprise to me that you haven't found the perfect deal yet! Keep an eye out I'm sure you'll find a diamond in the rough eventually. Let me know if there is any way I could assist you in the hastings or surrounding market. It is always good to connect with people that have interest in the same places, especially when they have an interest in your home town!! Thanks for the reply!

Hello, my name is Alex Nichols, I am a twenty-two-year-old entrepreneur looking to get into real estate investing! After studying business administration in college I was drawn to real estate when I was reading and trying to gain knowledge in the field. I quickly learned that the possibilities in the industry are endless! The opportunity of being my own boss and running a successful business has always been a goal of mine. I could not think of a better time to get started than in my twenties! My business partner and I grew up in a small town in southwest Michigan centralized between Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Grand Rapids and always looked at the "big" cities as a place of unlimited opportunity. My business partner and I just recently made our first investment deal in March of 2016. This journey has brought me here to BiggerPockets to try and take the next step into real estate. I am looking forward to communicating and gaining a wealth of knowledge on the subject of real estate alongside all of the BiggerPockets Community!!
