Thanks in advance!

@Ben Rhodin I’m looking at every and all options. We first thought of buying multi family and living in one side while renting out the other and now I’m thinking buying single family and converting the basement to STRs. I’m new to this so I’m open to any advise you can give!

I literally just finished podcast 350 with Craig Curelop. Definitely a wealth of knowledge your team has. I’m actually thinking about picking up his book.

I’ll be in Denver next month.

What am I doing wrong?

I’m trying to figure out how to analyze a house hack. I’m moving to Denver, CO. And I’m looking at house hacks and I can see it working with me living in the home, but the rent in the area won’t support the home if I were to move out.

Is this common?

I don’t want to be over leveraged on my house hack that it slows me down in other investments.

I appreciate the help!

@James Carlson thank you! I really appreciate this information. I didn’t realize the short term market was so good.

Maybe converting a basement into a short term rental might be the way to go for now?

I know the market is crazy. I’m looking to buy a home that I can turn into a long term rental in a year or if possible purchase a duplex, triplex, or fourplex.

Any suggestions, areas to consider, or advise would be extremely helpful!

Thank you in advance!

Anyone investing in Loudoun County, VA? We purchased a home in Loudoun County and was able to purchase at a really great price. Looking at opportunities to possibly sell and invest in something with an income property.

Thoughts on the area? Timing?

Is it important to start an LLC when investing in rental properties? Or is this an unnecessary step for someone just getting started?
