Post: Why Do You Love Real Estate?

Hey BP Community!

I have a question for you guys, Why do you love real estate? All of us on here are somehow connected to real estate one way or another, whether an investor, an agent, or someone new who wants to try it out. We all love it for one reason or another.

Personally I love real estate because you see a property in distress and you create a vision of what it can be, not what it currently is. With that vision and a whole lot of hard work, you make your vision a reality; and you can make money doing this!

Share why you love real estate, I'm interested to know why we all do what we.

Thanks, Alex

Hi, my name is Alex and I am17 years old. I really want to start investing in real estate and have a good understanding of most of the concepts. I'm just missing someone to teach me how to apply all the concepts that I have learned about, by either reading, following along in the forums or in the BP podcasts. I am looking for a willing mentor, (preferably in the Niagara Region of Southern Ontario) to show me how these concepts apply to real life situations. I am extremely motivated and hoping that someone will take a chance and help me get started!

Thanks for the advice Scott.

My question now is, should I go to school and then get my real estate license or should I just jump right in and use my savings and other methods of finance to start investing

Hey Guys,

Im still young and im just wondering what the different ways of starting out are? Can you just take out a loan and start buying and then pay it back later if your investment pays off? How do most investors start?

Thanks for the advice and feedback. I recently started reading the book "Making Money in Real Estate" by Douglas Gray. The book seems full of tips and advice. Are there any other books that you would recommend reading?

Hi my name is Alex Kolisnyk and I am a high school student looking to pursue a career as a full time real estate investor. Being a high school student I have no expirience in the feild of real estate investing, but I have read the BiggerPockets Beginners Guide and other articles related to Real Estate Investing and have some understanding on the concept of Real Estate Investing. If anyone has any advice on what I should be doing now to prepare myself that would be great!

Thanks, Alex
