Hi, I'm new to the short-term rental world. I used to rent my property via regular annual terms. But an experience with a tenant has left me leaving my property vacant for 2 years. I would love to try short-term rentals.

I'm trying to fill out the STVR application for Yucca Valley and some sections were a little confusing for me. I've called the number listed on the application but received no answers just voice-mails with no callbacks.

For example, it said something about a notarized statement. Does anyone know what has to be notarized?

Also said that there needs to be a business registration application and a transient occupancy tax permit application. I've been searching for this particular application but could only find the form for tax purposes.

I'm thinking about creating an LLC. But the CA government website is down online applications. Should I create an LLC before filling out and submitting the application?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
