squall78 Thanks much for your post. Repetitive words are sometimes needed. I am truly comforted that your 21 also. Its good to hear I’m not the only one over my head
Keep it up!
TN-Apprentice thanks for the Book advice. I have it on hold at the local Library (Thank God for the internet)
Ryan Thanks for the kind words and the encouragement. It was a huge relief to see that people don’t have to have hundreds of thousands to start in this business. Obviously being a student means I have little cash, but like I said; I have my parents who are willing to co-sign a loan
Keep up the posts all
Thanks Ryan
I understand that experience trumps book knowledge. I am NOT planning to read for the rest of my life ABOUT REI, I plan on DOING IT for the rest of my life.
As for your post, thank you so much! I have signed up for the classes you have suggested at Chicago University. (I was currently enrolled, so adding classes was not a problem) I appreciate the book suggestion, I will SURRLY give it a go.
As for “picking on me”, don’t mind me.
Proverbs 10:8 "The Wise are glad to be instructed...."
Arrogance is not in my dictionary, and I will be sure to humble myself. Again the post was appreciated.
Hello everyone,
Thanks for reading my FIRST post! As you can see by the subject line I am a 21 year old business law student. I am looking to "Flip", "Rehab" houses in the next 6 months. Since I was blessed with great parents, they are willing to put up some capital. From this point on; I KNOW NOTHING.
Before I ask my question understand I know business and nothing else. So my question is; What would be the BEST books/courses/websites for a beginner like me. Please understand I will take everyone seriously so if you recommend a book, I will read it. Also take into consideration I have no idea any terminology nor do I understand even how to go about buying a house.
I hope everyone understands I am a beginner (just like you were) and I am trying to build a solid foundation of knowledge first.
PS: for those who are going to remind me "experience tops book knowledge" or "Just do it" or “buy low, sell high”......ect please don’t post; I am looking for people who can help. I am in this for the long haul, not a quick buck. I am NOT trying to be the richest man I am interested because I love business and I love to remodel houses.
This is a passion of mine.
Thanks a million (pun-intended)
