@Paul Timmins thanks for the response! Yeah, excited for REIA meetings I have scheduled for next week. Podcasts seem great so will check more of them out. Thanks!

Hello,

I am in the beginning stages of my real estate investment career. I am going to my 1st Real Estate Investing Group Meeting next week (RI) and just wanted to ask if people had any advice on how to prepare further for this. I assume I should bring a notebook? Should I have any important questions prepared? Any do's and do not's?

My education, thus far, is based on a few books and BiggerPockets beginner guide, which I have almost completed. I am very eager to learn and to hear back with any advice. I am like a sponge right now and want to absorb as much as I can in order to feel ready to purchase my 1st home in the 7-11 month range. Still working on my niche, strategy, and business plan...

I am currently a closing officer at a mortgage lender company with aspirations to become a Loan Officer in the near future (3-5 months). Can someone document how this position would help me in my real estate investing career? My basic understanding is that it will help me know the market and understand the different types of loans to take out, etc. Is there anything else though?

Thank you for any help! Look forward to hearing back.

Alex
