Post: Is there a way to get around an ordinance on Airbnb in FL?

I am a Newbi who started his investment career with a triplex on the Gulf of Mexico, in FL. I rent two of the units and just finished renovating the third with intention to Airbnb it. Just as I finished, an ordinance on vacation rentals went into effect allowing homes to be rented a maximum of 5 times a year. This odiously puts a big damper in my bottom line. Any advise of getting around this besides getting involved in local politics?

@Mitch Coluzzi Hi Mitch, my name is Alexander Young. I am interested in Iowa for rentals. Any info you can send my way would be appreciated (whole salers, realtors would be a great start) I live and invest in Florida at the moment. Let me know if I can ever answer any questions about down here :)

I'm jumping in! Closing is in a few days. I'm purchasing a triplex on the beach as my first rental investment property with the help of an FHA loan. The two studios are already rented out, one until January 1st and the other month to month. Any advice for a first time landlord? Oh, the third unit is a 1/1 which I plan on fixing up and making my primary home, at least for a year. I realize there's a million and one things that could be answered here. I'll take all I can get!

You guys and gals are all great and thank you bigger pocket for the ACTION you've instilled in me. :)

Hi Mindy!
