Anytime I am doing a search for a property, Loopnet is one of the first links.  I have heard some great things, and not so great things about Loopnet.  I'm curious to hear how the BiggerPockets community feels about Loopnet.  Thanks for everyones input!

Hey everyone!  I'm curious to know how you were able to close your first deal.  Creative financing?  Cash?  Hard Money?  Inheritance?  What was your in?

@Clayton Mobley I appreciate your response!  People first (to me) seems like the most important lesson that I can learn in this industry.  How would you recommend I begin to make these relationships in different states?  Thanks!

@Lane Kawaoka I like that, "Invest where the numbers make sense."  I think that's a great mantra to live by!  My local market has exploded over the last 36 months, making it much more difficult for a first timer to enter the market.

@Jamie Turner Having local experience makes a lot of sense.  It will probably help me to better evaluate what renovations are required, and help me to determine the quality of the deals.  I'll shoot you an email!  Thanks!
