Craig, I am a real estate investor in the Columbus OH area looking for cash deals. My goal is to locate properties in the northeast area of Central Ohio. If you need a cash buyer for a deal let me know as I would be interested!

I know I am not trying to invent the wheel here. There are several other reputable pm companies that have found a way to satisfy this requirement while not being a broker or an agent in states with laws just like Ohio. I am very curious to know how they structure things.

I am perplexed though, how are some of these other large property management shops able to go around this obstacle(I don't want to name names but I see many large pm companies that the founder is not a broker or even agent). Are they hiring brokers flat out? What am I missing?

I am interested in starting a property management company. I have extensive experience owning and operating a property investment company and would like to scale my business by helping others. I do not have a license in real estate. I do however have a strong relationship with a couple real estate brokers.

Would it be possible for me contract out the leasing portion of the business through one of my real estate broker's? I am thinking I could give them the 1st month rent fee to handle this component of things. Thoughts?
