Hi Luke! I know you have narrowed it down to Compass and Sandy Beach, but I would highly recommend 3PointRealestate (www.3pointrealestatefl). I too am a long distance investor and have been investing in the St. Pete area for several years now and just recently switched to them. They are a new company to the area, but I can honestly say, I have been incredibly impressed with their service. They doubled my rental income within the first couple months. I am completely hands off and they handle everything. I feel that some of the bigger companies don't provide the personal attention that 3point does. I would defiantly recommend you take a look at them.

All the best!

Leslie

Congratulations Amie! You and your husband really dove into the investing world. I just recently purchased two multi-family properties in the St. Pete area and am working to renovate them. I bought a quadplex in historic uptown for 205K and am currently renovating it. The apartments were getting approximately $900 each before renovations, so I'm hoping to increase this by at least $100 to $200 when done. I also bought a duplex for 164K and am running it as an airbnb. I've just now started to look for a third property and was considering looking into the Jacksonville area. Any pointers for where to start? Or things to consider? Are there neighborhoods I should avoid?

@Marisa R.do you have specific areas in Detroit you recommend? I looked at that area but it was difficult to determine what was good and what was bad.
