I have come across an off market property in East Cobb, Marietta that would require a full gut renovation. I do not have the experience or contacts to take on such a project even thought I would like to learn. I believe I would be biting off more than I can chew. 

I am currently looking to purchase my first home. I am interested in buying a duplex so I can start house hacking. I would prefer to try to do an owner finance deal. Any suggestions on how I would contact the owner to see if he would even be willing to consider the option of owner financing? Do I ask the listing agent if the owner would consider the option?
