@George Blower Thank you George. I’ve been listening and learning about real estate for a while and I’m obsessed. I’m trying to learn as much as possible before I purchase my first multi-family next year.

@Kim Stofan It was definitely a nightmare! I have watched many of the podcasts and webinars on YouTube which has helped me target my goals. How can I find BP meet ups near me? I have looked around, but I’ve only seen individuals post about meetup.com which led me to that seminar. Where can I find the meetups? I have purchased almost every book from Biggerpockets during the Black Friday sale, so now I’m just diving deep into the books. I’m going to get the pro membership in order to run numbers and familiarize myself with great deals. Thanks for the advice Kim!

@Michael Kistner I want to invest near Sac state. I currently live in Lodi with my parents in order to save money, but I plan on moving into the multi-family. I’m looking to purchase a fourplex or triplex. Are you living in Lodi currently?

My name is Ahmed Sublaban, and I’m a newbie looking to house hack in a multi-family in Sacramento, Ca. I want to meet some local investors and gain some knowledge on investing within Sacramento. I started learning about real estate when I was 18, and wanted to gain capital, and complete college before I started. I did both and I am now ready to dive in. I attended a meetup tonight in Sacramento, Ca to network, but unfortunately the meetup consisted of a $20,000 pay to gain knowledge on real estate investing. I brought up BiggerPockets and how you guys inspired me to start and no one seemed to be familiar with the name which was a huge red flag. I would absolutely love if you guys can point me in the right direction on who to network with and which meetups I can attend. I currently live in Lodi, Ca and I am willing to travel. Thank you in advance.

I was also thinking of getting into the Stockton MF. House hacking would be the idea project for myself, but looking into starting next year. Thanks for the great information everybody!
