Hi all,

I am from London, UK with 10 properties under my portfolio in TX, GA, FL and MI. All of these properties were bought through companies facilitating international investors, which is convenient for me but they of course charge a premium for their service. I just wanted to get an opinion, if it would be wise for someone like me (I have LLCs set up, have a bank account and a leverage facility in USA), to approach the realtors directly and cut these third parties out for my further investments?

Joseph M.... I appreciate the fact that San Francisco is not a high yield area, but am I right in believing the fact that the property market is much more stable than Florida or Michigan?

I haven't yet located any potential properties yet, as I am still pervasive about the location, but I believe San Fran is a less risky area because of the better quality of tenants, and because of that should be a good diversification to my portfolio.

If I do, I will hold onto the properties over a longer run, do you have any idea how much SF (or other areas within California) properties normally appreciate per year or over 5/10 years?

Would really appreciate your help.
Thanks.

Hello all,

I am from London, UK and I own a couple of single family houses in Detroit and a condo in Orlando. All 3 of them are tenanted and are on 100% equity. I am now looking to diversify and get another property or may be two on the West Coast, probably San Francisco.

Would that be a good diversification? And if yes, what would be the best way to finance it?

Thanks Adams Churchill... Will email you... But I am actually not trying to prevent foreclosure... as I said... I own the houses outright.... I am looking to get equity out of my houses, so that I can invest on more cash yielding properties... Possible?

Dear all,
I own a couple of houses outright in Detroit, Michigan.
Can anyone possibly advise me of what would be the best way to get my equity out of them? and also what to look for when fishing for lenders?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey Landon... I am also new to BP, the only difference between you and me is that I only started learning about real estate only after I bought a couple of properties myself. I don't know if that was the right approach or not, but I am certainly learning a lot, by sinking my teeth deep in.
Tc and keep in touch.

I like your response Dion, but you actually haven't answered the question yet.

Even if remotely, the seller is genuine, what is the best way to check that the deed, the dues, the original name of the property owner?
