I'll make sure to keep this in mind! I definitely have zero problems expanding my contact list for inspectors. Nice to meet you and thank you!

I dont have an inspector that does both but I have a great inspector and a great tank sweep person if youd like seperate inspectors. Feel free to PM anytime.

Best of luck

Will definitely PM you as soon as I need one! Literally the moment I posted this, a friend of mine actually let me know that he will be able to do it for both this week. Thank you for the recommendation and thank you for the congrats! I appreciate it.

Hello everybody, I've just gone under contract for my first property and I was wondering if anybody here knows of a home inspector who can do a inspection and tank sweep in New Jersey. The property is in the New Brunswick area. Thank you.

Ok thank you I will have to ask and see if that’s an option for me

It definitely is an option! It just depends if your parents are willing to put their credit on the line.

Yes I had this option mentioned to me! Are there possibly pros and cons about this strategy?

The only thing I see is that you'll be risking your parent's credit score if you end up foreclosing on your first property, which is very unlikely since I'm sure you're doing your studying. Personally, I think this is a great idea for someone starting off!

I am currently 19 years old and trying to purchase my first property to house hack.

I went in to a couple different places for financing and was told I need to gross $4,000 monthly to be approved for a $250,000 FHA Loan.

I am currently only making 19 dollars an hour which brings me up short.

Just looking for some advice on what I should do??

Is changing work and finding more pay the answer or is there another way?

Hey Donavan, if your parents are willing to trust you on what you're doing, you can get them to co-sign you and incorporate their income with your first property. I did this same method and I went from being pre-approved for $350,000 to $500,000. Hope this helps.

It sounds like you already understand that we can't pick our neighbors and their habits, but scoping out the condition of the connected homes is what I would do. Where I grew up there were always the run down homes and then the nice homes...they never seemed to break from that cycle.

Thank you for responding, Robert! I'll take this into consideration. I appreciate it!

Hello (local) Bigger Pockets Community! I'm still a beginner and have lots to learn. I just wanted to get an insight from those experienced with the market. How do you feel about buying homes that are connected? For example, I found an off-market home but the house is sandwiched in between two houses. Ultimately, I would be sharing the wall and would be liable for any damage that their property would place upon mine in the case of an accident or poorly taken care off properties. I'd appreciate any responses! Thank you!
