I'm wondering how this worked out for you, and if you eventually went to outsourcing?

 I'm guessing no. He never posted again and hasn't been on the site for over a year. In any event, he seemed pretty determined to do it himself no matter how much it cost. (Or whether or not it "worked").

 @Jerry Puckett Thanks for your enthusiasm, Jerry. I am still working away and still follow this process for my letters. I live in a smaller town, so I am not sending out a large volume. It doesn't make sense to outsource a small volume.

Hi all! Are you an investor purchasing in the Cedar Rapids area? Message me your name and contact info, as well as what you buy, area of town, and average budget. I'm working on creating an active list and will have properties available soon! Andy

@Jerry Puckett 20 letters took me about 30 minutes from print to mailbox. I did not put off work or some other obligation to print these, so I don't see the point in valuing my time to a certain dollar value. If I had to mail out a 1000 letters, I'd still do it myself so I had the assurance that all letters made it to the mailbox. I'm not willing to spend more money on a project I can do myself, no matter the time involved. More people need to think this way. Don't outsource what you can easily do yourself. Running the printer for 1000 letters - it is not like you have to sit and stare at the printer for all 1000 letters. As you get going, doing it yourself, I'm sure you'd think of ways to automate or cut down on time (other than throwing hard earned money at someone else to do it for you). Putting hard work into something gives you more appreciation for others that are doing it this way or have a limited budget getting started.

@Tammy Starks Thank you!

@Malita R. Thank you. This is the type of comment I was hoping for. :)

@NA Jones I wasn't hating on them, I was simply giving a cheaper alternative.

@Wayne Brooks I print directly onto the envelope, not a label. The font I use is nearly identical to hand writing, so it works perfect for what I'm trying to achieve.

@Pavel Sakurets

Wouldn't it be better to print the envelopes to keep a constant for font between the envelope and the letter? I could do 1000 envelopes on my own. Saving the money and knowing that all the envelopes made it to the mailbox is enough of a motivation for me. ;)

@Tiankhy Hinton Glad this helped!

@Pavel Sakurets

 With the supplies I used, it ended up being about 55.4 cents per letter sent - includes printed letter on yellow paper, printed envelope (self-adhesive), and stamp. So in your case, 1000 letters would cost me about $554 from purchase to mailing.

To me it makes sense to do it myself, as I am working on a "shoe-string" budget. Even if I were to be mailing out 1000 letters, I'd still do it myself. Considering if you paid someone, the turn around time would be at least as long or longer to get the letters in the mail.

What is your definition of "hand printed"? You're saying that your letters are hand written or printed by a printer?

Thanks @Jose Efren Orozco I've added you to my list.

Thanks @Adam Moehn and @Austin Davis , I've added you guys to my list.

@Justin S. Good deal! I have you on my list!
