Hey guys! I am currently unemployed due to covid but I have great credit and over 25k ready to use...Anyone know of any banks in Detroit MI who will give me a mortgage on an income producing property based solely on the income from that property? Trying to avoid the hard money because I'm going to do a buy and hold. Thanks for the help!

@Carson M. I will definitely connect with you. Thank you so much for offering your guidance. I've still got a lot of research and homework to do. Im figuring out how to find deals and trying to determine what kind of funding I can get. Im intrested in single family homes. So far I've found a few on zillow but trying to expand my research sources.

@Luis Sanchez Rodriguez I agree, I know many man MANY California's who have moved or looking to move out of state, myself included. We were looking into Texas and I know quite a few ppl look to rent first for a few years so that seems promising. Cali is WAY too expensive and I too was looking for my first rental property to be in another state, I was looking into detroit MI. I have family who have some rental properties out there.

Hey everyone! If I was intrested in getting my first rental property using the BRRRR method in another state, should I look for a local lender in my area or a lender from that state im looking to buy?

Also, which type of lender would be more willing to lend without showing proof of income. I can show tax returns but with covid, showing the last few pay tubs might be a problem.

Thanks so much for your help, looking forward to getting started
