@Greg H. Unfortunately, I do realize this is not really possible in the Austin area (though I would love it, would be a great chance to do gain a lot of DIY experience on weekends). I hadn't even really considered Texas. I am thinking smaller and upcoming cities or college towns. Would def be interested in Texas though.

Evening, 

My name is Adam, and I live in Austin, TX. Only real estate experience I have is the purchase of the 2/2 condo I live in (renting the second bedroom) and previously renting. At the moment I am an engineer at a solar company. 

My goal is to own multiple rental properties that generate passive income so I can have more control over this short time we have on earth, not report to someone, and not sit in an office 50 hours a week.
