@Andrew B.

Thanks for posting Andrew! I live in NY and am interested in the Jacksonville market as well. Curious to see the responses here from people investing in Jacksonville. I have a few single family rentals in Ohio, so happy to talk about my experience with long distance investing. Feel free to send me a private message if you’d like to connect.

@Kenneth Garrett Thanks for the response! Can commercial financing be used on 1 single family home, or does it have to be 5 or more single family homes? Also, will I run into more issues if each home is under a different LLC when going for a portfolio loan?

Hi Everyone,

I'm curious to see how others have dealt with this issue:

I have spoken with several banks about refinancing a portfolio of 5 single family rental properties, and every bank has told me that they won't work with me because the homes are owned in LLCs.

I'm curious how other investors have successfully completed a Refi, as this seems to be common practice for banks right now.

Is this just a bad time to refinance due to COVID? Have I just not found the right bank yet? Did I just not know that in order to successfully BRRRR or refinance at all, the homes must be in my personal name and not an LLC?

Really appreciate any help here!

Thanks,
Adam

LOL @Brian G. Appreciate the support. I'm most interested in buy and hold single family/small multifamily rental properties at the moment. I'll definitely keep you in mind if I have any questions about vacation rentals down the road.

Hi BP Community,

I am offering myself as a free virtual assistant to an investor looking to delegate a few tasks. Why am I doing this for free? I just turned 26 and am hungry to make the next step to grow my portfolio and achieve financial freedom. I realize knowledge is more valuable than money for me right now. I'll help you out and in return I gain a little bit of experience. Pretty simple :)

If anyone's interested either reply on this thread or shoot me a direct message to connect. You can ask me anything and put me through an interview process before agreeing to "hire" me... for free.

Thanks,

Adam
