@Dawn Vacek I also just joined BP (after a couple weeks of lurking and reading the forums) -- and I've been curious about upstate NY, particularly the Catskills region. Do you have experience in vacation properties/rentals in your area and a bit further north?

@Brian Zoubek I love Gratitude Cafe. And Midwood Flats and Bluebird Cafe over on Flatbush. Where did you hear about Oaxaca, because that would be huge (for the neighborhood but also for me!)? There's also Erv's, Branch OFC that just opened and hopefully, eventually Little Buttercup for cocktails. And a couple new pastry shops opening on Nostrand.

@Michael G. I live right off Nostrand and the 4-plex I just bought is off Nostrand as well. I'm just waiting patiently...it's only a matter of time I think.

Hoping to hear from anyone with thoughts on the Bronx....there seem to be some decent deals there but I'm just not at all familiar.

I live in PLG and own a condo and recently picked up a multi-family here so I hope @Javier Diaz is right! It does seem like there are new coffee shops / restaurants / bars opening up here all the time.

I am curious about Ridgewood, been hearing a lot about it recently and also curious if there are any deals left in Bed-Stuy. Maybe Brownsville/and deep Crown Heights/Weeksville if you want to bet on de Blasio's plans for East New York...some interesting multifamilies out that way.
