Posting as an anchor point to look back on in the years to come ( and to get familiar with the site).
No background in real estate. Horrible financial upbringing, poor credit, debt larger than a football field, maxed expenses to income, etc etc. Think of all the wrong things someone can financially do in their 20's and early 30s, and I've done it.
Landed here after tipping a few small dominoes towards learning about basic financial literacy, setting goals ( joining the site was on the list today ), and a few books ( Two Income Trap, 4 hour workweek, The Wealthy Barber, Rich dad, and in the mail - Richest man in Babylon.)
So, that's where I am. Not ready to do anything with real estate other than knowing it's in my deck of cards and the reasonable thing to do now is spend my sweat equity in learning.
Shout out to the FIRE and personal finance subreddits, and where credit is due for bringing me here, Graham Stephan's youtube channel.
That's it, back to work. Hope to learn from you all. :-)
