@Jai Rijh there is a lot of great information out there on investing in this area. I plan to attend the next meeting in Princeton so I hope to see you there!

Thanks for your advice @Noel Challenger! It truly is amazing how willing the BP community is to help novices such as myself. What I've found most difficult is figuring out how to make time to provide something of value for more experienced investors. My current job only leaves me with time during the weekends, but my partner and I are doing everything we can to slowly make contacts and get ourselves out there. Your advice on speaking with lenders is spot on, there are many lenders out there so I think it is just about being persistent and learning from each experience. Thanks again!

Hello BP!
My name is Adam, and I am a new real estate investor currently residing in Hamilton NJ. My "day job" is currently as a graduate student at Thomas Jefferson University, and I spend a lot of my free time in educating myself of the ways of real estate. My business partner is a real estate agent who is also new to the investing side of real estate, and we are mainly interested in buy-and-hold for multifamily properties in central/south Jersey. Our long term goal is to acquire multiple multi-family properties over the next 5-10 years, and to eventually trade up for an apartment complex. We are very excited to get our feet wet, but finding a deal in our target area that fits our investing goals has been difficult. We are young investors (ages 22 and 23 respectively), so finding funding for any RE investment hasn't been the easiest either. We are looking to learn as much as possible in the coming months as we continue to search for deals, and I am very excited to be a part of the BP community! I would love to discuss more with anyone in my area about their experiences in our local market. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Regards,
Adam H.
