Hello everyone,
I live in the Denver Colorado area. We were going through the eviction process when this COVID-19 thing started shutting everything down. It was announced a couple days ago that Sheriff's are being diverted away from scheduling evictions. This I completely understand even though the timing is very poor. If anyone else has experience with this kind of situation and might have words of advice it would be really appreciated.

@Charley C. Never expecting to get rich quick, however, having down payment has been the difficult. I have an army of contractors and agents that I can work with just needing funding. That is an inspirational story and I thank you for sharing! I planned that I probably wouldn't be taking too much of the top at least on the first couple deals.

Hello all,

I feel like I have read all the books on how to invest in real estate with no or little money down. I understand my options and how to identify good deals but feel stuck in analyses paralyses when coming to finding funding. Has anyone had the same happen to them and what did you do to overcome?

@Jennifer T. Thank you for your insight. I have never had an experience like that but very weird indeed. Do you think not having access to a kitchen is a big deal for you as an AIrbnb goer?

@Larry Alexander yea we were for sure going to keep the cats upstairs.

I talked to a construction friend and he said it would be very costly! probably not worth it in the long run.

haha! I really hope you are joking about the first part.

yea I think the biggest problem is we don't have a separate entrance to actually get to the basement. So we were going back and forth about if it is a big deal for them to come around the back or if it is better for them just come through the front door. Also, we have cats. if that is a big deterrent for renters?

We are currently looking at renting our basement bedroom for AirBnB and was curious what the Denver community has found is the most important to the renters. Also, any suggestions on set up to attract the most traffic?

Post: Refi to pay off HELOC or make payments?

Here is the situation.... I currently have a HELOC out on a Condo that are variable interest only payments. I used this money for a down payment on a new house and upgrades on the condo. right now my interest only payments are about $150 a month and will have to start paying principle in 9 years. The condo is in a 15 year fixed mortgage and will be fully paid in 12 years.

The question is would it make more sense to eat those monthly payments until the HELOC principle payments become due sell the house and pay it off then or refi when there is enough equity to cover the HELOC amount?
