@Jeet Patel

Hey guys. We haven’t had a meet up recently, with Covid restrictions it made it hard to get together. However once restrictions relax a bit I hope we can start getting together again.

I guess I should add that I am looking to spend around $200,000 USD or less on a condo in one of these areas.

I am thinking about buying a vacation rental in a warm climate (Florida, the Caribbean or Central America is what I am considering) as both an investment and to use for my family for a couple weeks out of the year. My idea is to make a little money and have a place to use myself to essentially have a free vacation home. I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with this? What locations did you invest it? What do the numbers look like and which management company are you dealing with? On the other hand I could just buy another rental in my area and use the income to pay for my vacations. Any feedback would be appreciated!

@Jagdeep Singh

Low appreciation? Charlottetown has been one of the fastest appreciating markets in the country. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5230305

@Jeffrey Heavner

Thanks Jeff. So did you use paid ads?

Has anyone ever used Facebook ads for advertising vacant units? I have a new building under construction to be completed Jan 2020 and am thinking about trying this out to see if I can get some interest. Any tips or feedback would be great!

Not sure if this message will reach you guys in time but just a heads up, Upstreet called me and said they have an event booked for 8 pm. We still have a table reserved for us but I am letting people know and suggesting that if you can come for 6:30, that would be great as it gives us a bit more time. Sorry for the late notice but I just found out myself. Hope to see you all there tomorrow!
