I am from Northern New Jersey. I just closed on a 2 family house and I’m liking the adventure of starting a Syndication business/Private Fund business but I don’t know how to get started.

What would be your tips on getting started with Syndication and Private Funds? Do I need to go through the SEC? Just kind of need to know the basics with these 2 businesses?

@Sean T. Those loose numbers on the MLS are fine but you still want to verify the operating expenses with 6 months of all bills the landlord pays and 6 months of rent receipts to verify both expenses and income, correct?

I am looking to purchase a 2 unit investment property. I wanted to know what is the best time to ask for the financials of the house such as the operating expense that the landlord pays and rent receipts? Do you do this before you make an offer, during attorney review, or after attorney review while under contract?
