I have religiously followed Bigger Pockets' content (Books and Podcast) for well over a year now, so I'm a little embarrassed for just now becoming a member of the site.

I'm 25 years old and currently employed as a mechanical engineer for an international company. I have not yet done my first deal, but I am ready. My first deal will be to house-hack with a multi-unit property in the city of Athens, OH using a 3.5%-down FHA loan. I have been pre-qualified for a loan since August, and have been working with an agent to find a deal since then as well. This past week, I also began my direct mail marketing campaign, mailing postcards (see attached pictures) to 125 people/companies who own at least one multi-unit property in Athens. I share all of this, including the postcards, just to show how serious I am about making this happen.

I have an accountability partner who is already an investor, and I have a great mentor in my town, but I'm ready to expand my network even further.  Hopefully some day I can give back to the community by sharing insights and experiences from my own journey, though I'm not sure I could ever repay the debt of knowledge that I owe to BP.

Can't wait to get to know some of you.
