Hi, I would have loved to attend the meetup. I am from CA, but I am in Houston that day, but I am leaving by 6pm :( Hopefully, there is another meetup next time I am in town.

My boyfriend and I decided on the Houston market based on a few key things. Most important factor for us was Job/population growth potential and we decided to focus in the state of Texas (plus, Texas is one of the states we consider relocating to someday....IF we can stand the heat!) We think Dallas market is very attractive as well, but we decided to with Houston because we have been there a few times and started to know the area better. In addition, my best friend lives there so she has been giving me her perspective of specific local area.

Last time we were there, we met a few contacts and felt that we could build a good team there to support us. We are flying out again next week to firm up more loose ends, and hopefully find a first house in Houston.

Hello, I am Amy from Southern California, preparing to invest in cash flow income properties in Houston area.

I have one out of state property successfully rented for a few years and realized how great RE could be, and became more serious about investing more with buy and hold strategy. I started to research more on real estate investing and came across BP. I have been observing the community for a while, and finally decide to say "Hi" and participate :)

My goal this year is to purchase two properties, and I am currently looking to build my team in Houston area. If anyone can recommend any investor friendly RE agents, property management companies, contractors, inspectors, I would greatly appreciate it.
