Post: In Boston RENTALS? or SALES?

Hi Everyone,

I'm a Real Estate agent in Boston. I want to get into sales, but the companies that I've worked for have always told me to focus on rentals, and the sales will come. I don't like the idea of this. I work during the day, so I will only have the weekends and evenings to practice real estate. Can I still make a living under these conditions? <---(opinions?) To those of you that know the Boston market; what is more profitable to focus on? rentals or sales? Will it be hard for me to make a decent living? What kind of market should I get into? For a 21 year old with ambition and character what should it be... rentals? sales?

Thank you.

I want to get into investing in multi-families. Considering my circumstances as a 21 year old I need resources. Money is a huge problem for me. When you guys mention reading, what kind of books do you recommend I read? I need to know where to find the information to become a better business person. I want to digest as much information about property, business, and investing as I can. I am looking for a mentor, but not having any luck finding one. @Louis Leone what does SFR, and REIA stand for. Excuse me I'm unfamiliar. @Leigh C having another person build my empire for me is un acceptable in my standards. I'm just looking for helpful tips on how to expand my knowledge.

How should I obtain clients? How do I get a client to trust me with selling their property for them although I have no experience? How to I gain more confidence in representing a buyer or seller? Should I be intimidated to sell multi-million dollar properties?

Hi Everyone,

I'm a young entrepreneur interesting in getting into the investment game. I have goals and dreams of becoming a young millionaire (25) and I know that I need to get busy now. Can some one please inform me on where I should start? I'm familiar with the Boston market, and I'm a licensed Real Estate agent. Is there anyone out there that can educate me on how investing works?

I want to network with as many like minded individuals as possible. HELP!!!
