@Manuel Diaz That is almost exactly what I plan on doing. The only thing I was curious about was when you take out the home equity loan from home "A" for a down payment on home "B", do you have to pay that loan off as well as finish paying off the full amount of the initial loan from home "A". Im not sure if I asked that correctly, if you could clarify, please do.

Hey @Manuel Diaz nice to hear from someone along a similar path to my own and in my area. I am looking forward to using my VA Loan but not just yet. Im looking into FHA loans and other types of lenders as well. Also if the VA Loan is stating it can't have extensive repairs, find out how much and how costly these repairs the home actually needs are, then see if they have a limit how much they are willing to allow these fix-ups to be. I personally am trying to use the buy and hold strategy at first to get my feet wet and see how well I manage.

Already half way through the book @Brandon Turner! Great book, exactly the information I have been looking for. Also Checked out the #92 Podcast, awesome stories. Thank you so much for all the help, definitely reading every article and book you have mentioned so far.

Hey Bigger Pockets members, my name is Alonzo and I am coming straight out of the military with high hopes of becoming a real estate investor. Im very eager and excited to learn and hear from all of you going through similar steps and of any mistakes you could help me avoid as I start my investing.
