Hi everyone at BP. I am a 40+ year old husband and father of two amazing girls whois super excited to learn about real estate. I was a tattoo artist for over 15 years but when my wife and I started having kids, I became a stay at home dad. We moved from Reno to Cincinnati to be close to my family and I now work for my mother and step father as the Handy Man for their 20+ door RE portfolio of beautiful Victorian's. I found BP through Brandon's amazing book on managing rental property's (thank you so much Brandon). In the beginning I just wanted to learn the management side because my parents are in their 70's and I knew that I would be responsible for running the portfolio eventually. The more I learned about real estate, the more excited I became and at this point I am learning everything I can to start investing. My current plan is to spend the next year learning and and focusing on two upcoming rehabs before I start investing myself. I am so grateful that I found Bigger Pockets first rather than some Guru. I look forward to interacting with the community and making my way through all 293 episodes of the podcast.

thanks

Aaron

@Erika Graham If you haven't been through East Walnut Hills/Evanston yet you should check it out. The area has been improving steadily and their are allot of rehabs currently underway. Like everyone else has said Cincinnati has a weird mix of good streets and bad in close proximity to each other so its tough to give advice without touring the neighborhood block by block. overall i feels like even the bad parts of Evanston are better than the bad parts of Avondale, but i could be biased because I live here and my step father has been investing in the two neighborhoods since the mid 70's.
