@Evan Polaski @Charles Seaman, Thank you gentlemen for your feedback! To be a little more specific my plan is to get into short term (3-7 years) syndications with properties that have 20+ units.

Since a sponsor is typically the "back bone" of the GP I'm assuming they will be receiving a higher percent ownership correct? If so, is it advisable to create my own brand/ LLC or will the first few deals fall under the sponsor?

Whats up BP fam! Ive been doing a lot of research on MF start up, and the first hurdle it looks like I have to get over is finding a sponsor. Is it necessary to have a sponsor as part of your GP? How much experience is typically needed to become my own sponsor?
