Boise, Idaho: Market Statistics for January 2018

Outside investors are driving growth in the valley!

According to the Idaho Statesman, "In recent months, Boise has made nearly every “best places” list put out by Forbes, and Idaho now is officially the fastest-growing state, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Meridian is the nation’s 13th fastest-growing city.

The interest will bring more investment in 2018. And that will spur more construction and development as Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell try to keep pace with the demand for places to live, shop, eat and work."

The Treasure Valley is currently experiencing a mild winter; a much different story from the "snowmagedon" we experienced in January of last year. Builders have been able to work much more than they have previous years thanks to the mild winter. But, despite this change over last year, inventory is not any higher than it was in January 2017.

Why? Homeowners are not listing quickly enough to raise the existing inventory levels. Below are January 2018 market statistics for Ada County and Canyon County.
